Well now, I want to this, but deviantArt is giving me the finger - say's file not found.
So instead I will comment on how fantastic I think this photo is. The duration on the shot is mind-blowing (163seconds!), but more on that later.
The colurs are unblievable, the exposure amazing.
Seems a shame to crit, but two things I would change (they are minor really, I love this photo)
1. Crop it to get rid of that bright white light on the right-hand horizon
2. There is an ever-so-slight tilt of the horizon (the left hand side appears lower than the right), or it could be my eyes and age!
Ivan - please tell me. Did you cover the lens at all during this exposure or just leave it open the whole time? Clearly these are multiple lightning strikes and not all at the same time right? Also how did you get the rocks in the foreground lit up so beautifully.
I am so impressed, now just get dA to fix their site so I can this!
As much as I can see, and check (in PS) the horison iz leveled... maybe it seams it is not because on the right side is a shore (city) and on the left side is just water (well, it seams it is your age after all )
The lence was open all the exposure time didn't cover it at all. The lightning strikes we quite frequent but not at the same time, as you guessed.
The rocks were lighted my lightnings and by nearby city lights....
Hope I answered what you wanted to know now... if I missed anything, or you want to know something else, please feel free to ask me....

The butter legion- a socialist movement/mass colab project I started, to trigger artistic change and evolution in Da artists (mainly my watchers), to make them more active and dedicated on DA. Now 170 people strong and growing... A "dangerous cult"? a "new religion"? "artistic version of fight club" or "communist movement"? You decide!
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
